Thriller Conventions

From my research, I have learnt a good amount about thriller conventions and the conventions of a thriller opening. I've learnt that the main conventions of a thriller are that they're suspenseful, do not show the deaths like they would do in a horror, feature tense music and tend to play on the idea of the antagonist remaining a mystery until the end. The openings of thrillers tend to establish the protagonist and begin to build suspense through either fast cuts or tense music.
